D.B. Cooper is the pseudonym given to an unidentified man who hijacked a Northwest Orient Airlines flight in 1971, extorted $200,000 in ransom, and then parachuted from the plane, disappearing without a trace. Despite an extensive manhunt and investigation by the FBI, his true identity and whereabouts remain one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history.
