This painting highlights the stunning beauty of having the privilege of seeing a sunrise in Glenwood Canyon. I snapped this photo on my hike up to Hanging Lake. The sun casts a beautiful array of shadows on the cliffs. This combined with the various geologic formations creates a kaleidoscope of different colors.
Glenwood Canyon is the largest canyon on the upper Colorado River with walls towering above 1,300 feet high. It is one of the main transportation corridors between Denver and Grand Junction and serves as a gateway into Colorado's Western Slope.
