Collection: Free Solo

Free Solo is a tribute to people who take risks to overcome their limits. In this photo we can see an adventurer climbing rocks without a rope while crossing the Andes Mountains, between the Atacama Desert in Chile and the Uyuni Salt Flat in Bolivia. Knowing that we were miles away from any medical assistance and with limited resources, I confess I was a little worried watching its ascent on the rock cliffs. Even so, I chose to take pictures of that incredible moment to tell this story later. In the end, we didn't have any serious incidents in those travel days and I managed to make some great images about the physical and mental potential of human beings.
