RIDΞ THE WAVΞ

Creating the music for David's photography capture, I wanted to make something that fit exactly to match the photo. I also wanted to do a chorus which was call and response to the listener. That you need someone to catch a wave with. This part means many things more than surfing. In the end, just having someone to ride with you. We all need a road dog in the end, that's the best part about family, friends, and relationships. A unified connection with someone in our lives. David's drone captures are out of this world, full with colour. So I wanted to have a motion type lead sound to mimic the feel of the ocean. Came out fire. The animation is simple, but complex. I wanted the Surfer to be frozen within the wave, while the water moves around him. Frozen in time almost. Came out cool, and glad with the overall outcome. This is definitely one of the best collaborations I have done this year. Hands down.
