New Era Series: Waimea Lines
I was beyond tired today. But I woke up!
Once I wake up the day is another gift ahead. So I hiked in the hills. 2 Miles up Waimea Valley to capture this image I been trying to get for years. It's been mentally in my head. But I needed to envision it before it happened.
While I was hiking with my long 800mm Lens. I seen one wave with potential of the image I envisioned. The only problem was seeing one wave out of 20 is not good odds. Needing perfect lighting and wind. Both factors into this vision I envisioned slowly faded as time went by.
Waited one Hour and seen 5 lines coming over the Horizon. Deep down I hoped the face of the wave would be clean enough to capture the texture of Waimea Lines.
I got numerous shots but only the 3rd waves of the sets was big enough and clean enough to capture the image I envisioned.
Waimea Lines is the face of the wave. The lines on this art piece is around one hundred. I see around that much as I look at the Artistry. My mind envisioned this image.
New Era Series Certified My goal will be to capture Waimea lines on a much larger scale. But with a Long lens it might be tricky. Being on a cliffside helps. Maybe being on a Heli would be better. Actually not because the Pilot wouldn't know wtf I am talking about.
First Art piece with Waimea Lines to be minted. This one will take some calculated aspects to get it on a larger scale.
The end result of todays image was what I envisioned so this will be the first in the New Era Series
