Samāʿ (سماع‎) - The mystical dance

I like vortexes, when I am in nature I imagine vortexes of energy that pass through me, which are in the air, between the branches of trees, and they run together with my internal vortexes, the chakras. Perhaps the vortexes of Van Gogh he drew even in the sky were the same expression of my own vision. And these vortexes follow mathematical laws, which regulate the entire universe, both inside me and inside a leaf or in a cloud or in the galaxy. Even the DNA helix is a vortex. I imagined these invisible energy flows drawn like fractals. A mystical dance all over the world, the swirling world of the Sufi poet Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi and his ecstatic poetry. He had already perceived it in the 1300s and translated in the mystical dance (Samāʿ) of the Whirling Dervishes.
