Scrap Reality

This piece is a structural transmogrification of matter. Originally conceived as a physical wall relief and tabletop sculpture, Scrap Reality v 01 was constructed from found wood scraps which are discarded fragments of the physical simulation. By digitizing this relief into a glb spatial asset, I am hard coding the history, grain, and weathering of these found objects into the permanent record of the blockchain.

We are currently transitioning out of the big monitor era. The rectangle is dying. As we emerge into a world defined by augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality, our art must move with us. This work is designed for that everyday transition. The collector of this piece is not just buying an image, they are acquiring a spatial anchor. This asset is ready to be deployed into your immediate environment by resting on a virtual table or hanging in a mixed reality gallery. It functions as a bridge between the discarded past and the agentic future.

The medium is a found wood relief sculpture that has been converted to a 3D spatial scan as a glb asset. It was minted by artist Ryan Seslow on May 1st 2026 to mark the arrival of the JFK Terminal 4 permanent installation and the pivot into full time artificial intelligence driven creative direction.
