Self Armor

Self-Armor (2022) - 1/1 This piece comes out of the same space as much of my work, where characters, fragments, and forms build into something larger than themselves. In Self-Armor, illustrated figures emerge and stack together, creating a suit of protection made from their own bodies. It is both armor and autobiography.

The animation reflects the way we carry our past versions into the present. Each layer is a memory, a decision, or a shift in perspective. Together they create resilience, not by hiding what came before but by reconfiguring it into something that can face the future.

Like many of my previous works, this piece is about change, survival, and transformation. It is a reminder that what protects us is not external, but the selves we continue to grow from..
