Boots on the Ground

'Boots on the Ground' is a still-life oil painting featuring a pair of combat boots, an MRE (Meal, Ready-to-Eat), and a U.S. Army Operational Camouflage Pattern uniform top. The artwork was completed a few months after the artist finished his stint as a soldier. The piece itself serves as a poignant memento of the military life, specifically those moments spent with fellow soldiers in the field.
