poppy

Her dreams lay dormant, hidden in the petals

I see her walking in the distant field

Her skin is glowing and her eyes reveal

The poppies rustle between her every step

Pulling her deeper as if under some spell

As she lay there amidst the poppies and their bed

A figure was watching her and guiding her head

Every night he would whisper to her the secrets

She heard a voice say: “Follow me”
