The Pillars of Creation are famous cosmic dust formations, extending over light years. Within the gas-dust nebulae, new stars are formed and born.

This painting shows the connection between the cosmic processes of star creation and the development of biological life on our planet. Mother and child against the backdrop of grand cosmic phenomena. One emphasizes and reinforces the other. The question arises - which is more powerful and amazing in its significance and scale? Cosmic phenomena stretched in space for light years, or the process of little human development? Human ontogenesis and phylogenesis?

They are not just comparable, one arises from the other.
