Ego death

At that moment when I opened my eyes the only thing I realized was that there was no one else in the world but me. Wherever I was, the only lingering feeling in my mind was that I, only I, would be able to build a world of my own, a world where I could have the power of kings and queens.

A while later I was able to realize that I was mistaken and becoming incapable of existing without the mask that protected me. From this moment on, I began to have difficulty accepting the imminent destruction of what I thought was my being.

Then my existence became what I feared most: an empty, dark place, quite different from what it used to be. So, after struggling against this feeling, I began to question my existence. The reality was that my world was on fire, and it was only up to me whether I chose to save myself or not.
