Winter Architect

A young man has assembled a snowman, crowning it with coloured gems representing the chakra system. He stares on pridefully at his creation, however there is a flaming sword for a nose and above the snowman, a wolf in sheep’s fleece is adorned with the crown jewel.

This piece is delving into the concept of animation, or reanimation, the act of giving life. This is most time the pursuit of men in literature to bring back a person loved dearly, or on a more theosophical inquiry, the desire of deities to create out of themselves and give sentience unto something other than themselves.

As with the young architect and his creation, he himself is contained within a boundary with eyes and the faces of a lion, a bull, an eagle and a man. Which represent the four fixed signs of the zodiac, poetically illustrating even the architect himself is subject to a grander design.
