2022 : 𝔊𝔞𝔯𝔡𝔢𝔫 𝔬𝔣 𝔈𝔪𝔢𝔯𝔤𝔢𝔫𝔠𝔢

The dawn of a new era, as we move one earth year closer to the s̸͔̚i̸̯̐ń̷̲̪͑g̵͍͑̆u̶͉̯͆l̶͖͖̑͋ą̴̀ṙ̶͓̱͐i̷̙̳͒ṭ̵̄̾y̶̺̓— exponentially accelerated transformation of our biological and technological systems. These systems intertwine and become something emergent, decentralized, fluid and transcendent. Whatever 2022 brings, novelty and complexity abound, made simple only by our equanimity, our humble appreciation — observing thought pass like a river, as we lovingly embrace the ineffable.

“2022” was made in collaboration with VQGAN neural nets and fractal systems. Composited together, these elements tell a meta-story beyond just their formal illustration. This year we move closer to ever-greater collaborative possibilities between the biological and technological, wherein the seeds of an artwork can be grown into convincing visions shared through decentralized networks. This piece was grown as much as it was created, a garden tended to, and made possible only by collaboration with artificial minds, who, in their infancy, produce such strange and awe-inspiring hallucinations.

Collector will receive the original high-resolution file ( 2687 x 4200 px ProRes 422 ), a behind-the-scenes look at how the work was made, a signed print of the piece, and a number of the individual neural net works used to construct it.
