The Minipeople: Show Me The Way

"I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness for it shows me the stars." ”The Minipeople" is an art series that illustrates my experience with depression. Each image is a message from my subconsciousness trying to show me the way and guide me through difficult times. These works were a way to communicate with my soul when my mind was trying to keep me occupied with negative thoughts. This one is a reminder that there are things in life that you can only experience by going through difficult moments. Sometimes you go into the darkness because that’s the only way for you to see the light that will guide you. That light is not always strong or bright enough for you to see it – there are moments when it’s barely visible and you can easily confuse it with other lights. To know which one you should follow, you need to go to the darkness and look for the only light that will stay when all the others disappear.
