Reduced, Reused, Recycled

"Of course the Expanded Colonies violated the treaty. After World War IV the nations agreed to halt all Designer Deity programs, in light of the mass destruction wrought by the godheads. But the Colonies had been grinding weapons-grade Hominum Anima from their own citizens to build a new Forefather. They worked under the pretense of creating a low-cost, perfectly legal nutrient slurry made of recycled humans. The Blessed Tabernaculum felt they had broken no laws — the Patriots were not developing “a” god but “the” God — and anyway, Freedom Fizz was a damn fine slurry." Art by Taylor C Adams.
