Dreaming With My Eyes Wide Open

Dreaming as the air soaked with charred grass and summer wine meets me with her familiar embrace. Dreaming as the toadstools wither, cicadas frolic and sing, the blooming flowers once lush now ache and tremble. Dreaming as the memories of a time once free come floating back to me. Dreaming with my eyes wide open.
