(ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING INCLUDED- i will directly contact whoever purchases this NFT for their shipping information)... this was one of my first oil paintings. i made it when i was 17. the objects sort of metamorphize into one another creating a sense of fluidity and movement. i remember taking my sketchbook around my neighborhood and copied lines from houses or organic shapes that i enjoyed. such as lines from bark or a leaf, maybe a stream. i wanted to reference real life while painting shapes and lines that couldn't actually exist in the natural world. while there is a lot of chaotic yet warm fluidity happening, the eyes on the three figures feel very still and cold to me to contrast that. the three faces are in a very confined place yet they are separated from one another by the various planes and shapes that chop up the space. as i look back to the time period when this work was made, i can recall feeling similarly- feeling like i have my people close around me but mentally or emotionally feeling far from them. i wanted to personify that concept in a unique and colorful way. this is my attempt, thanks for looking.
