American Tapestry One

A tattered and split tapestry of America, a p̶l̶u̶t̶o̶c̶r̶a̶c̶y̶ white huskercacy that believes it is a pluralistic democracy. A land with a dream that with enough bluster, moxie, hoaxes and hucksterism anyone can make it to the top. It pushes forward with an open racial wound it stabs at but refuses to see. Look closely at who has attained this american dream that haunts us. A diptych tapestry created with machine learning software by Robbie Barrat and a model he curated with historical portraits from wikiart.org bit.ly/art-dcgan. Robbie did not collaborate on this work as I just used a portion of his model with permission. Portrait model was overtrained with images of Donald Trump from news footage and debates.
