Aaron Penne: Wonderfully Silent Conversations (w/HWF)

Generative artwork created with code.

Tribute to Herbert W. Franke who passed away in 2022 at the age of 95. HWF helped pioneer the field of generative art which I call home.

100% of artist proceeds go to Foundation Herbert W. Franke supporting ZKM Karlsruhe efforts to digitize HWF’s 1,800 manuscripts and make them publicly available.

"...growing older they discovered that, what they had done so far, was part and parcel of wonderfully silent conversations they had been engaged in without knowing. Nobody ever told them so. It was just something that happened, so it seemed." - Frieder Nake (from the foreword of CENTURY by Casey Reas 2012)
