Wabisabi: Burnt Chrysanthemum

The chrysanthemum in the Japanese culture, represents immortality. So much so that it is considered the symbol of the imperial family. Linked to strength and endurance since being born in winter, it faces the adversities of the cold. In my representation I have chosen a chrysanthemum burnt at the ends. Trying to propose an image of fragility even if it symbolizes strength. As a metaphor of life in which everyone finds himself facing his own frailties, his own desperation.
