THIS MAGIC WAND
THIS MAGIC WAND
The invitation to more This magic wand You hold to me Curling with light And promise
Things I don’t trust But should And wish I could
Somehow I manage to say
Don’t give up on me
Don’t
Don’t leave me
Keep your heart open Leave the light on For me
Curl with light And promise
Wave your wand Over
Me
In addition to painting I write a lot and this piece was inspired by the above prose.
Both the original painting and the animation are being exhibited in #irl galleries in Tunisia, the home of Kenza Zouari, one of my first friends and collectors in the crypto/nft space. Since meeting in a Clubhouse room more than a year ago we have bonded over shared ideals around the potential to be explored in this new era of digital art and how this is impacting all areas of society. As I have travelled from Australia to also be here in person for the exhibitions, we are in a way a physical example of how the crypto art space has bought many people together. There have been many positive outcomes, and this is just the beginning.
Life is best when magic, love and bravery collide, and this is essentially what this piece is all about.
