On the Oregon coast it’s very common to see super complicated sand sculptures which take on strange and intricate patterns because of the moisture in the air. It adds a binding agent that allows the sand to clump and create patterns not seen in drier environments. These formations change very quickly, with a scene like this perhaps only making it until the next high tide.
