Evocative Storytelling: Alien Invasion
There are certain photographs that stay etched in your heart forever not only because of their technical excellence but because of the pain and struggle associated with building the composition.
This photograph shot in peak winters at the Ghats of Varanasi, India is a prime example of how the art of photography can be truly rewarding for the ones who demonstrate perseverance in this long arduous journey!
With temperature touching almost 3 degrees, it was incredibly hard to get out of bed at 3:30 AM for an early morning photo walk along the ghats draped with an impermeable layer of fog – but then we left the “choice of comfort” behind and ended up witnessing a surreal moment!
While many of my friends have told me that this scene looks straight out of a Sci-Fi movie with an Alien Spaceship making an unexpected landing on Planet Earth – this will remain as a medal for showing resilience in the middle of unpropitious weather.
