Current Events: Double Trouble Parents

The burrowing owl (Athene cunicularia) is a small, long-legged owl found in open landscapes of North and South America. Unlike most owls, it is active during the day (especially in the early morning and late afternoon), although it still hunts at night too.

These two Burrowing Owls were hiding there babies as I tried capturing images of them. But the tiny Owls are clever and very fast to run away.

Long lens did its job!
