Dressed up for Phi Ta Khon festival in Dansai, Thailand. Part solemn Buddhist rites, part ancient fertility ritual and part boisterous merriment, during Phi Ta Khon, the village spirits take over for a few days. It is one of the most colorful festivals of Thailand. Interesting to note is that the appearance of homemade phallic symbols and contraptions is somewhat downplayed by the tourist authorities.
