Watermelon Girl was first a digital photograph of Colorado native, Ani Valentine, eating Rocky Ford watermelon at McIntosh Lake in Longmont. The moment was then printed onto canvas, bringing the real into the digital and back into the real. The connection between the real world artwork and the digital version became the model for TokenArt.World, a project by artist and developer Mitchell Valentine, which bridges real world artworks with their digital versions allowing progressive utilization of artwork stewardship through tokenization.
