Tardigrades: Using Maciek

Sometimes the simplest task or daily activity can be challenging for a Parkinson's disease patient. A surgeon with the most stable hands becomes unable to hold a spoon without spelling its contents.

This is where Maciek comes in handy. In the game Tardigrades, when the main protagonist "Carter" is unable to perform a task; he can use other NPCs (Non Playable Characters) to do it. In this prison escape scene, Maciek has better reach to unscrew the ceiling vent using a glass shard provided by Carter.

I love the idea of being my dad's NPC. I could see a glimpse of sadness in his eyes but I keep my smile and humor him all the time. Experiment funny facial hair styles when I groom him before I do the full clean shave. That used to crack us up the most!
