Monuments: Monument #3
Monument #3 on the Horizon.
The sun was already up, blazing up the sky, and painting the Horizon a peaceful blue. I was wandering through the concrete floor of this void, when a massive structure started appearing in the distance, like a mirage. But with every step I took towards it, it became clearer, that it wasn’t just an illusion. Another monument! This time it was reaching for the skies. The furthest leg of this ‘A’ shaped monument peacefully faded away in the foggy distance. The iridescent shape glistened and changed color as the sun rose. Its purpose unknown, it just stood there like a giant ladder or a bridge to the heavens, that never quite reached the desired heights.
