PIXELORD DREAM CARDS: Pixelord Dream Card 003

PIXELORD — PLACES The Sonic Travelogue

Released in March 2015 on Hyperboloid Records, Places was Pixelord's debut full-length album — a musical diary inspired by cities, journeys, memories, and moments collected across the world. The album features ten tracks named after real locations, including Berlin, Ottawa, Phuket, Beijing, Chicago, Moscow, Novosib, and Home.

Rather than describing places literally, each track captures a personal impression — the atmosphere, energy, emotion, or memory associated with a destination. From garage-inspired rhythms and colorful bass music to dreamy melodies and futuristic electronics, Places transforms geography into sound.

The album marked a major evolution for Pixelord, expanding beyond experimental beat music into a broader cinematic world filled with movement, nostalgia, discovery, and imagination. It became one of the defining releases of the Hyperboloid era and remains a fan favorite within the Pixelord catalog.

Within the Dream Cards universe, Places represents the Explorer Era — a journey through cities, memories, and alternate realities connected by music.

Every place leaves a signal.

A street in Berlin. A night in Moscow. A distant shore in Phuket. A number. A memory. A feeling.
