‘Another day in paradise’ was a common call as riders prepared to go out onto the plains. Their equipment is often personalised giving a touch of reassurance for the work ahead. Each day was different. There were many surprises and several hazards. Working together in closely-knit teams is always rewarding in itself. Memories were made and strong friendships formed.

The privately owned ranches are a disappearing feature of the historic West. This project set out to capture the lifestyle and traditions before they are eradicated forever.
