The Contemporary West : Spanish Peaks

The distinctive shape of the Spanish Peaks enables travellers to navigate across the flat landscape that surrounds them. The environment is harsh. Temperatures range from one-hundrd degrees in the summer to minus twenty at times during the winter. Nature struggles to survive and man made objects weather quickly.

The privately owned ranches are a disappearing feature of the historic West. This project set out to capture the lifestyle and traditions before they are eradicated forever.
