Always Has Been: Chapter 1: Challenges Post-Contribution: Ada Lovelace and the Analytical Engine

In 1843, Ada Lovelace, a pioneering mathematician, encountered obstacles following her work on Charles Babbage’s Analytical Engine. By developing an algorithm, she became recognized as the first computer programmer. However, societal biases led to the dismissal of her contributions, and her visionary ideas remained underutilized. This lack of recognition and application hindered progress in computing technology, delaying advancements in various fields that could have benefited from early innovations.
