◆: Always Returning,

Skyfall.

A slow hush drifts
through the bones of the house
not silence,
but the whisper of a breath once given
and night doesn’t fall here
it waits
hovering
in the corners of my memory.

The walls that once remembered your face
no longer speak
but listen
and the floor
hums underfoot
Warm
at the mention of your name.
