This work comes from the feeling of standing inside your own life and not recognizing the room anymore. From the experience of looking around and wondering how you arrived here, and whether this is the place you were trying to reach. It is about the unstable ground between progress and doubt. Between confidence and uncertainty. Between what feels like arrival and what feels like starting over.
There are moments when growth feels real. You can see it. You can name it. You can almost touch it. And then there are moments when everything feels suspended, as if the progress was imagined. As if you dreamed the entire journey and woke up in the same place. That return can feel disorienting. It can feel like fading. It can feel like being visible one day and invisible the next, even while standing in the same body.
The internal weather is not always a dance. Sometimes it is made of repetition. Late thoughts that circle back. Self doubt that arrives uninvited. Conversations replayed in the mind. Dreams that blur with memory. Questions that do not ask for answers but demand honesty.
Where do I even begin?
Do I begin with what I have overcome? With what still stays in the background of my thoughts? With the parts of myself I am still learning to understand? Is this the end of something, or the beginning of something else? Or is it the strange and in between space where identity reshapes itself without making an entrance?
This examines the emotional atmosphere of trying to find a place in the world while also trying to find a place within yourself. The tension between who you were, who you thought you would be, and who you are in this moment.
It feels like resolution. It feels like awareness. It feels like standing inside change and finally admitting that you do not always know how to name it. Sometimes the most honest question is the only beginning available.
Where do I even begin becomes less of a question and more of a doorway.
The work is created through double exposure, using my own photographs, and constructed through a process that includes AI and Photoshop. These tools are not used to replace the self, but to extend it. They become part of the atmosphere, mirroring the layered nature of thought, memory, and internal experience. The process itself reflects the subject. Layered. Uncertain. Evolving, never ending.
And perhaps the answer is not a location. Perhaps it is the act of continuing anyway.
