Polar Vortex: Deep Freeze

This Ice buildup was from strong winds, water spray off the lake and deep cold temperatures around -20 with a windchill to make it feel like -30.

This was a storm like no other as it passed through Lake Erie and froze everything in its path. They say it was the "storm of the century" as it encased everything it touched in Ice like the movie "Day After Tomorrow."

This shot in particular I captured as i saw a elderly man appreciating nature but also being careful to capture a photo.

As I watched him I made sure he was ok, I set up the camera and took the shot.

It reminded me so much of a movie scene.. maybe he was looking for someone or something I thought as I watched
