Collection: Polar Vortex
This shot was captured on one of the coldest days/weeks in Toronto, Canada.
It was the winter of 2018 and we had 2 weeks of consistent temps around -15 to -30 with windchill.
It was so cold and consistent that Lake Ontario was frozen so thick that you could walk on the ice.
This day the temps were -40 with a windchill it was cold enough to get frostbite within minutes but yet I felt a calm all bundled up.
It was quiet, social media had yet heard about this so I was one of the first out there capturing photos.
Just than I saw a random person walking across the ice, this scene had reminded me of the movie 'Day After Tomorrow."
This was the capture from that moment.
