Visual Meditations on Nature: Pulse of Nature

Pulse of nature is a piece about the ebb and flow of nature's cycles and the passage of seasons, the quiet of winter followed by the renewed blood of spring.

The beating heart takes the traditional mexican representations of the "Sacred Heart", a Catholic religious symbol, and reinterprets it from a holistic point of view, where the church is in the ecosystems and we as a part of it.

The branches represent the connection, sometimes lost to us, that all living beings have among ourselves and with our environment.

Adorned with flowers based on the "Tenango" embroideries of the state of Hidalgo in Mexico, the piece reminds the viewer of the rhythm of nature
