Ballerina 2: The Last Train, The First Step

This work is a mixed-media digital artwork, created through a combination of my own photography, photomontage in Photoshop, and AI-assisted processes.

A solitary dancer appears beside a passing train, suspended between movement and stillness. The rigid weight of steel contrasts with the fragility of the human body, while fog dissolves the boundaries between place, time, and memory.

The dance is not a performance for an audience ; it is an act of resistance, presence, and quiet survival. In a landscape shaped by departure and transit, the female body becomes the only constant: breathing, moving, and claiming space where it was never meant to remain.

This image explores the tension between control and freedom, machinery and flesh, silence and motion ; a moment where escape is not found in leaving, but in moving differently.
