Ehimism: Golden Elegance

Golden Elegance is a bold yet quiet portrait that blends beauty, strength, and introspection. Set against a deep red background, the woman sits with calm confidence, holding up a glass of wine. She’s not just drinking; she’s owning the moment.

The yellow halo behind her head is a symbol I often use to highlight, purity, dignity, light, and purpose. In this piece, it frames her like a crown, hinting at the royalty we carry in our everyday moments, especially as Africans navigating both chaos and grace.

Her dress flows like satin, with subtle sparkles that reflect elegance, but also the resilience we often wrap ourselves in. This work is inspired by my environment and the people in it, those who find beauty even in hard places. Golden Elegance is a reminder that elegance isn’t just about looks, it’s a way of surviving, of becoming, of being seen.
