The unmistakable profile of Suilven, a mountain in the west of Sutherland, Scotland, is a wonder to behold for any eyes. Formed due to prehistoric glaciation, she appears to be itching to race headlong into the Atlantic Ocean, exposed as she is to the ferocity of the elements that are commonplace in this area. Weather systems continually batter this corner of Scotland and on the day this photograph was taken, it was no different. Struggling to even stand in gale-force conditions I waited for the perfect moment as a dark squall made yet another attempt to bend the will of this mighty mountain, like so many have tried before it.
