In recent years I've developed a deep love for woodland photography, often very complex scenes, but occasionally the simplicity of a lone tree in the landscape can be more evocative. This image on the Isle of Arran was borne out of an exploration of more complex woodland until I noticed this lone tree, away from the cluster in the background, seemingly trying to run away from its family.
