The Sixteenth Æther, A Shard.

Shard Æthers are the remnants of other decaying, lost and dead Æthers, fragmented and reassembled into a new, unpredictable entity. They wander the realms, constantly seeking to assimilate more fragments into their being, growing in power and complexity while seeking to be reunited with the original parts of themselves long gone.

Their fragmented nature makes them both versatile and dangerous, as they can wield the powers of the Æthers they absorb. If left unchecked, Shard Æthers can become uncontrollable forces, even capable of draining life forces from other realms.
