A marvelous glass decanter washed ashore. The decanter was already tattered, it was obvious that the sea creatures had taken a fancy to it. The inside was covered with mud and sand. A young girl was a tourist, getting vitamin D one meter away from the carafe. She was lying on her stomach with her eyes closed. After the waves put the carafe at the girl's feet they moved farther away. The noise of the waves disappeared, there was silence. The girl opened her eyes. She heard the wind howling, that bizarre sound that came when the sea breeze blew into the neck of the decanter. The girl turned around to look at the source of the strange and unexpected music. She put the find in her bag. Soon the decanter would suffer a terrible fate, it would turn into a pile of shards after parting from the windowsill and meeting the asphalt. The decanter will never take its former shape again, but each of its shards will contain a story of a journey that no one will ever know.
