In yonder forest, where the moon doth glow,
Resides a creature, born in shadows' throw.
Its sire, a marvel, of grand design,
Yet this little one, a gentler sign.
From birth, its gaze doth wear a serious mien,
In the realm of beasts, a sight unseen.
Yet, lend not thy ear to whispers of fright,
For 'tis a kindred spirit, bathed in joyous light.
With paws like giants and a tail so fine,
A guest in the woods, a creature benign.
Laughter echoes, as the woods do ring,
With this wondrous being, in the forest spring.
Funny and tender, with heart aglow,
Yearning for mirth, as the rivers do flow.
Despite its visage, a monstrous veneer,
Love doth reside, dispelling all fear.
