I sit on the edge of the cliff, feeling the cold wind on my face. The town below me is a sea of lights, flickering and fading in the darkness. I wonder what they are doing, those people who live there. Do they have dreams, hopes, fears? Do they feel trapped, like I do? I have been here for too long, waiting for something to change, something to happen. But nothing ever does. Every day is the same, a cycle of boredom and frustration.
I yearn for a better life, a life of adventure and freedom. A life that is not bound by the limits of this place. I look at the horizon, where the sky is slowly turning from pink to purple. A new day is coming, but it will be just like the old one. I sigh and close my eyes, wishing I could fly away from here. From dusk 'til dawn, I wait. But nothing ever comes.
