My new work “Waiting at the Traffic Light” is a photo tracing piece based on photographs taken in Osaka City during the summer of 2019. It depicts a woman waiting for the signal in the shadow of a utility pole during the uniquely hazy, white midsummer days of a Japanese city. If this were 2025, I'm sure she'd be holding a handheld fan.
