Dolphin Days: Loki

Pacific white-sided dolphins breed between August and October. The gestation period lasts for 9-12 months after which the females give birth to a single offspring. The calves weigh about 30 pounds and measure 3-4 feet in length. The mothers take care of their calves for up to 18 months after birth.
