GLIMMER OF HOPE

In my photojournalistic pursuit to one of the biggest slums in the world, Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya. I stumbled upon some of the most amazing stories that I think deserve a chance to be experienced by everyone. The lady in the frame was kind enough to invite us to her home, she talked about how she wanted the world to see those living in the slum in a different light, as much as the living conditions do get tough at times, these factors enable them to face whatever comes their way head-on and become better individuals. She added that through this, the slum undoubtedly nurtures some of the best individuals ready to make a difference in the society and a beacon of hope for those following in their footsteps.
