Rays of Blue

Piopiotahi/Milford Sound. Where annual rainfall is measured in metres it is often described as the 8th wonder of the world. I was just kicking back in the camper waiting for sunset and it was mid-afternoon.
Suddenly I noticed people rushing towards the shore and pointing and went out to investigate.
These blue rays had appeared from nowhere. The light was incredible and I sprinted to get the camera and set up. I needn’t have worried as they stayed around for ages. I have never again seen it on my many visits and aside from the person I was shooting with I don’t know of anyone else who has either. It was a once in a lifetime moment that I will remember forever.
